Thank you Philippe Debongnie for asking me to participate in Jazz and Draw. This is a blog that showcases the artist and jazz music together. I decided to illustrate the gorgeous song "I'll be seeing you". Many musicians have covered this song but I have always loved the version from Francoise Hardy and Iggy Pop and the other version from Billie Holiday. Check out Jazz and Draw and the talented Philippe Debongnie's website.
Nice!! I love the textures in this.

ReplyDeleteWow, lovely work!
ReplyDeleteI think the folks who called this timeless hit the nail on the head! I couldn't come up with a more appropriate adjective. Well, it's also quite lovely and so nicely done. I love the pose and the hairstyle and the ways you captured a classic style, but also put your own stamp on it. (I listened to the Billie Holliday version when I wrote this and it really is a great complement to it!) I will have to go check out that site. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage feel to this! It reminds me of a 60's pattern magazine. The lyrics are beautiful too :)
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely. Looks like a vintage poster.
