Illustration Friday: Contraption
This is an old illustration that I have posted before but I thought it would suit this weeks prompt of contraption. Her name is "Amphibious Me" and I created her last year. Amphibious Me comes with her own mode of aquatic transportation and safety helmet that takes her to mysterious connecting realms of sea and land.
"Amphibious Me for Land and Sea"
quite cool, excellent watercolour work
ReplyDeleteI want one of these contraptions! Nice work.

Is this asking too much?

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you posted this again, as I had missed it before and it is awesome!! How fabulous that she has a protective helmet as she sets forth on her discoveries. Well done, Melissa, and beautifully illustrated!

ReplyDeleteWhat a crazy cool world. I'm glad she's got her safety helmet on to ride that octopus vehicle!
ReplyDeleteI really like the effect of the overlaid eye.
ReplyDeleteDidn't see this the first time round, lovely illustration and fab contraption:)
ReplyDeleteI'm behind on my blog visits - what gorgeous work you have in these last few posts that I've missed! "Ferocious" was fabulous, and I"m drooling over that wallpaper. This amphibious gal is wonderful - is it a large piece? Maybe it's the vertical lines in it, but I'm envisioning it as a huge wall-sized piece!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the feedback everyone. This was a piece I created for a packaging design assignment last year when I was studying. The last illustration is so long because it was designed to wrap around a box. It would look great as a wall size piece Sarah....
ReplyDeleteHow creative is this?! Fun and well done illustration Melissa.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is so interesting, I can't look away. Very well done.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is so dreamlike and beautifully done! I'm loving your work! :)
