Illustration Friday: Obsession and Imperfect
This illustration applies to last weeks topic and this weeks. I am obsessed with collecting gorgeous old chairs. This is just a few that I use about the house. I love the imperfections of vintage chairs yet I love the perfection of the design.
great idea for prompt - nice work too.
ReplyDeleteThis is fascinating! I love your beautifully illustrated "collection"!
ReplyDeleteHow efficient to combine the two prompts! I have an old swivel wooden chair at my drafting table that my grandfather had when he worked for the railroad. It's squeaky and not all that comfortable, but I wouldn't dream of replacing it. Great drawings.
ReplyDeleteThe brown one is my favorite but I love them alllll! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteOoohh, love the brown leather stool! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have quite a few chairs too. I didn't realize there were other people like me. I especially like the chrome one on the end.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your obsession, Melissa! I love vintage chairs too, but I love vintage tables even more...we'd be the *imperfect* perfect couple!
ReplyDeleteOhhh I love tables also and old books, teacups....anything that has character really.........
ReplyDeleteYou have such an eye...these are so beautifully arranged on the page!
ReplyDeleteMelissa,
ReplyDeleteI left a Sunshine Award for you on my blog.
Have a great weekend.
Vicki
Excellent illustration. Like all your little chairs.
ReplyDeletebtw: tried commenting last week but some reason couldn't. Finally found a browswer that would allow it. Yeah for Google Chrome.
Lovely collection - there are a few there that I would love to have. The drawing is excellent, you really get the sense of the patina from use and good care!
